Global warming: what’s all the hype?
Don’t know much about global warming? Here’s why you should care. Americans make up only four percent of the world’s population but produce the world’s largest share of carbon dioxide pollution (25 percent) by burning fossil fuels. These resources aren’t unlimited – they’re starting to run out. The faster we use them, the faster we deplete the ozone layer.
Unless we reduce emissions, global warming could make average temperatures in the U.S. hike another three to nine degrees by the end of the century. Sea levels will rise, flooding coastal areas – with heat waves, droughts and wildfire not far behind. Global warming brings hotter, moister climates, which means disease-carrying mosquitoes will cover more ground. And species will be pushed to extinction. Including us.
We’re already starting to see the global warming warning signs: severe climate change, erratic weather patterns, melting icebergs, destructive hurricanes and other natural disasters. Now’s the time to join the green revolution. Read on to find out how to go green and stop global warming at home, at work, on the road and wherever you are.

Digitize: Avoid wasting paper by printing out digital files, because all that extra paper waste contributes to global warming. Reduce paper waste and read them on your computer instead. If you do fire up the printer, change its settings to reduce paper waste. Using both sides of the paper cuts your paper waste in half. Also, switch to paying your bills online to save both postage and the environment.
